Electrodomésticos - Appliances

Hace una par de semanas nos visitaron unos nuevos amigos desde California, Estados Unidos. Ellos nos ayudaron pintando y además, llenaron necesidades con electrodoméstico. Gracias!

A couple of friends from California, United States, came to visit us a few weeks ago. They helped us by painting, and also by filled certain needs with applainces. Thank you!

Quinceañera!

Just a few pictures of what went on a little over a month ago. Kenia turned 15 years old she looked gorgeous! She had a blast, as did everyone else that attended. Even the little ones, like Candy (2 years old), who didn't wait too long to go out on the dance floor.

Solo un par de fotos de lo que pasó hace un poco más de un mes. Kenia cumplió 15 años, y se veía lindisima! Ella disfrutó mucho, al igual que todos los demás que asistieron. Hasta los pequeños, como Candy (2 años), que no esperó mucho para salir a bailar.

Habitación de Hombre - Man Room

Fauricio creo su lugar de escondite. Este contiene: Un radio, una tetera para regar las plantas, una lampara para leer, una caja de herramientas, un sombrero, tres sillas, una par de guantes de hule, una pala, un pico, y varios tomacorrientes.

Fauricio created his hiding place. It contains: A stereo, a teapot to water the plants, a reading lamp, a tool box, a hat, three chairs, a pair of rubber gloves, a shovel, a pick and several outlets.

Mud - Barro

Singuer (Red) and Gerald (Blue) are both 7 years old. They are two of the funniest kids around, always smiling and looking for something to do, even if it gets them in trouble. In this case, we asked them to help us put some branches up against our barbed wire fence. Needless to say, we got all muddy and wet, but it sure was fun!

It is our pleasure to announce that by the end of next week, we will have an 8 ft tall (2.5 m), "chain link" fence, courtesy of our Community of Faith friends.

Singuer (Rojo) y Gerald (Azul) tienen 7 años de edad. Ambos son dos de los chicos mas divertidos que hay por aqui, siempre sonriendo y buscando algo que hacer, sin importar si se meten en problemas o no. En este caso, les pedimos ayuda para poner algunas ramas contra la cerca que tenemos. No hay necesidad de decir que nos llenamos de barro y nos mojamos, pero si que nos divertimos!

Tenemos el placer de anunciar que para el fin de semana proximo, tendremos una cerca de 2.5 metros de alto (8 pies), cortesia de nuestros amigos de Community of Faith.

Valentía - Bravery

Jeremy es un chico muy inteligente y divertido. Le encanta hacernos reír y muestra sus emociones sin pensarlo dos veces. El ayuda mucho dentro de su casa, y fuera también. Ha perfeccionado sus habilidades para sacar el ganado de nuestra propiedad. Se requiere mucha habilidad y valentía para ahuyentar a tres jóvenes toros, algo que pocos, con el doble de su edad o mas logran hacer.

Jeremy is a smart and fun boy. He loves to make people laugh and is not afraid to show how he feels. He’s a big help at home, but also outside of the house. He’s perfected his ability to keep away the cattle from our property. It takes a lot of talent and courage to run three young bulls out, something most of us twice his age can’t accomplish.

La Zarigüeya - The opossum

Nos encontramos a este amiguito al lado de la calle, y nos dolió mucho verlo ahí, entonces buscamos un lugar apropiado para enterrarlo, y tratamos de ocultarlo de los chicos, para quienes algo así es una gran aventura. Por supuesto, el proceso no fue muy placentero.

We found this little guy on the side of the road and it was painful to see it there, so we searched for an appropriate place to bury it, and tried to hide it from all the kids, to whom this would a great adventure. But of course, the process wasn’t pleasant.

International - Internacional

One of the advantages of doing what we do, is meeting new people from all over the globe. Our friend Margaux is dear to all of us, and she came all the way from Switzerland to share with us and do whatever is needed. She’s been a huge help and we love to have her here. If you're out there, wherever you are, we want to meet you, let us know.

Una de las ventajas de hacer lo que hacemos es conocer a gente nueva de todas partes del globo. Nuestra amiga Margaux es muy querida por nosotros, y vino desde Suiza para compartir con nosotros y hacer lo que sea que se necesite hacer. Ha sido una gran ayuda, y nos encanta tenerla aquí. Si estas ahi, donde quiera que estés, queremos conocerte, avisanos.

Perros - Dogs

Desde hace un tiempo hemos tenido problemas con los perros de la calle, se han acostumbrado a abrir las bolsas de basura y todo dentro de ellas, se queda afuera. En esta foto, nuestras amigas Eli (izquierda) y Ceci (derecha) nos ayudan a poner todo en su lugar, pero no nos dejaron ver sus lindas caras.

For a while now, we’ve been having issues with stray dogs, they’ve gotten into the habit of opening our trash bags, and everything inside, goes outside. In this picture, our friends Eli (left) and Ceci (right) help us put everything where it belongs, but didn’t let us see their pretty faces.

Lotta diggin' - Mucho cavar.

We had to have the septic system upgraded, extended and cleaned out after a while of uncaring for it, and it was a lot of work. We hope this one lasts forever, but we are hoping to grow as well. More people means more... Well, you get it.

Tuvimos que mejorar, extender y limpiar el sistema séptico, después de un tiempo de descuido y fue mucho trabajo. Esperamos que este dure por siempre, pero también esperamos crecer. Mas gente significa mas... Bueno, ustedes entienden.
